CHECK YOUR EMAILS!!! Just got an email saying:

Congratulations!

Watch your mail. You will soon be receiving important information on what happens next.

I would like to invite you to join AULink, our social networking site exclusively for admitted freshmen and look forward to seeing you at one of our many admitted student events.

Congratulations again,

Greg Grauman
Director of Admissions
American University

just got an email saying i was accepted! no actual packet yet, in nyc. my online application status was not updated.
stats: 95 UW gpa, 1360/2100 SAT, many clubs and leadership positions, over 300 community service hours over 4 years
good luck to everyone waiting!

D’s friend, two blocks away, got his acceptance letter today… and so did her friend who lives a few blocks the other way. She is dying over this…

Just checked her college email account; nothing there :(

I’m assuming that since it’s still fairly early march, some financial aid documents are still being processed and could possibly be holding back some acceptances. I wouldn’t freak out if you haven’t gotten an email yet.

@hjohnston2010 – I live in the DC metro area (roughly) and I didn’t get a letter or an email. I didn’t apply for financial aid, either :l I don’t think it means anything, but I’m still a little worried.

No love here either. Can anyone who did receive the acceptance email let those of us still waiting know if their online status check has changed at all? BTW, I am from Florida, did not apply for FA, and stats are 1350/2000 and 3.8 weighted.

Also, did anyone who already received their snail mail acceptance receive the email tonight?

D got the email to look for her acceptance in snail mail. I am guessing that honors program invitees go out first because there is an honors overnight program at the end of march they want to invite them to. This, therefore, may be an “early” email of acceptance for that reason. I make this assumption since D is Nat Merit. Makes sense?
