<p>just got accepted through a very generic email!!</p>
<p>but i checked my status but it does’t say “accepted or whatnot” in fact… it doenst say anything but which documents they have received! and also in the email it says acutal mail accceptance letters will come soon:)</p>
<p>@chanceman6: Does that mean everyone here who got the email is invited into Honors? I don’t think so. :o</p>
<p>I just got my email acceptance today as well! I don’t know this for sure, but apparently we won’t find out about Honors program, or any scholarships until we get the actual letter in the mail. I joined the AULink (a site for accepted freshmen at AU), and most people there who knew they were honors didn’t know until they got their letters in the mail.</p>
<p>@ksarmand Why don’t you think so? the stats of everyone who’s gotten the e-mail so far seem pretty worthy of the honors college. It would make sense if they wanted to have an overnight at the end of march.</p>
<p>^It does seem a bit unlikely. I didn’t say impossible, just unlikely.</p>
<p>I don’t know how many students get accepted into the honors program, but pretty much everyone on AULink received notification of admission through the email and there are about 400 members…</p>

<p>I’m hoping honors college people would get notified earlier though, considering the overnight event is at the end of march!</p>
<p>I think the honors thing makes sense… I mean, I didn’t get anything and, while I think American is pretty much a match for me, I don’t think I’ll get into honors.</p>
<p>400 doesn’t seem like that much… honors is the top 15% of applicants (I think).</p>
<p>Considering that my app arrived pretty late and that my recommendations were subpar, I don’t think that I’ll get into honors either.</p>

<p>Are emails literally being received throughout the late afternoon and even this evening…or are they being read now but sent earlier in the day. My son keeps checking his email account…nothing yet.</p>
<p>My son received his email at what would be 6 PM EST. So maybe they are going out in waves. He just opened it because it is morning here where we are

<p>expatme: There are lots of Welcome Days, Family Days, etc. It’s all accessible on the AU website (no log in needed).</p>
