Thanks! Good luck to everyone!

Idk. I emailed them, and they said they do not use a threshold. They view all applications holistically, which is what I believed in the first place. Oh well, I’ll just hope for the best when decisions come. fingers crossed

I’ve never been so nervous to open my mailbox in my life.

I am so nervous! Notre Dame is my absolute top choice. Do you think that my rank will hurt me? I have a 2260 and I’m ranked only 27th out of 550 in my class, which is very competitive. I applied EA

Thats like almost top 5%. If You’re school is very competitive I’m sure it will only help. I’m 60th of 570 so I think I have more to be worried about XD

so. decisions by the 20th. any idea of the possibility of receiving the notification before then? when’s the earliest we can start expecting? sigh. just got rejected to cornell. i’m depressed.

I got accepted to Cornell. It’s bittersweet b/c I REALLY loved Notre Dame. :(

I applied early; I’m so nervous… I’ve wanted to go to ND since 4th grade. Hopefully I’ll get in!
Even though I’m legacy, and have good scores and grades, I still have butterflies!
Maybe they’ll love my take a risk essay…

the major i applied to at cornell only accepted around 30 applicants. i kind of expected the rejection, but i still wasn’t prepared for it. luckily, i can still look forward to notre dame. hopefully i’ll get accepted. is anyone here applying to mendoza?

plan to, but you don’t apply to mendoza or any other school until your sophomore year.

Got into Penn ED. I’m so tempted to not withdraw my ND app though because I want to know if I would have gotten in.

^^ The reason they (some schools) require binding ED, and the reason I wouldn’t do it.

^Im pretty sure you have to

if you got into penn, then i’m sure you will get into notre dame too. so just put your curiosity to rest and help out the rest of us a little by withdrawing. =)

yes. “plan to” that’s what i meant.

I got into Wharton ED and had to withdraw my ND app. You have to withdraw your other apps by the 20th (the day we are supposed to find out about ND) as that is the final day for paying the Penn deposit.

Anyone heard if/that schools separate apps based on “visit/no visit?” I know we’ve all heard rumors of thresholds (test scores) and such, but visits? If you didn’t actually physically visit campus during one of the arranged events or a personal visit, your chances are less?!

If it’s fair to generalize what you’re saying as “tracking interest”, Notre Dame says that they don’t do that. But I’m sure you’ll hear all kinds of rumors and responses about this question…all I know is what the official website said when I last read up on that.

usually schools that are need-blind won’t track interest to be fair to applicants who can’t afford to visit the campus

guys i’m so anxious!!! are they mailing the decisions out on the 15th-16th?

I believe so. Expecting to get mine the 19th.
