I understand that my scores are lower, but I'm hoping my essays will impress the heck of ND. I will be taking the SAT again, as well as the ACT. It's been my dream school for as long as I can remember (cliche, I know). I'd like to know what my chances might be (current/incoming students a plus). Thanks!

I didn’t realize that ND had a heck. Is a heck easy to impress?;)

Be sure to have someone proofread those impressive esssays - and avoid cliches, even self-identified ones.

I’m having my AP English teacher and my English teacher from freshman and sophomore year proofread them @rmldad

I know my test scores aren’t exactly the highest, but my dad thinks I should apply early action. I would rather apply regular action. I’m taking the ACT in the fall, and I’d like to get a score in the 30s. I just want to know if I would even have a shot early action.

Apply RD. If you were to submit these scores today, you run the risk of being denied in the EA round without a deferral. My D was deferred EA last year with a 2250, 4.0 UW, lots of leadership, great recs and essays, yada yada. I would use the fall to prep for and take/retake your tests. The only caveat would be if your scores dramatically increased during the Sept/Oct test cycle, then maybe take a shot at EA. FYI, a 33 or 1430 (CR+M) would put you at the 50th percentile of students who enrolled in this year’s freshman class.

Thank you for your help!
