@ChanceMeChanceMe I think you have a good shot at both schools. BC sounds like a target based on your stats. And your SAT score is high enough that you should apply EA to Notre Dame (they discourage kids that aren’t at the top of their applicant pools to apply EA because you can get flat out rejected EA, but I cannot imagine you would get rejected with a 1530 and strong transcript, even though you have a few B’s).

As for your ethnicity… I cannot say for sure but I actually think Notre Dame and BC might be two strong schools that you might actually have a small advantage being Asian/Indian (unlike the Ivies and other secular schools). I think that both BC and Notre Dame would like the opportunity to diversify their classes a bit more. But this is not based on anything other than my opinion from keeping tabs on these schools over the years (my daughter applied and got in to both last year, and I have a junior at BC now, in CSOM…I’m also a BC alum, and I do college advising).

Good luck to you! You have accomplished a lot and will have great choices, I’m sure. To BC’s and ND’s credit, they will allow you to apply to both (REA) and aren’t jumping on the ED bandwagon that many schools are now doing…
