Hey guys,
I just graduated from Notre Dame in 2007 having majored in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with a Materials Science Certificate. I'm currently in law school in NYC. I stumbled across this site online and figured I'd come on here to answer any questions anyone might have about Notre Dame, the Engineering Program, Dorm Life, the city of South Bend or anything else. Remember, there's a lot you can do with an Engineering degree from ND- my cheg (chemical engg) friends have gone on to be lawyers, investment bankers, gone to med school, done business stuff... and of course, worked as engineers or gone to grad school. Good luck to anyone choosing cheg, its a tough, time-consuming major, but very rewarding.

Son is currently a soph in AE at ND and I know he is working very hard! I am curious about a few things-how did you happen upon law school? How were the job prospects for engineers with a degree from ND? (Son says the career fair for eng is awesome!) What did you do during your summers, internships, research, etc.?

As wife of a physics major that went to law school, I'm guessing patent law.

Hi xaalpha-thanks for participating on CC, many will learn much from your experiences as post grad. Congrats on law school (and, finding time during your first year, to contribute to CC :)

Notre dame Al -asked things I am most interested in. Our S is a sophomore mech eng major.

Where did most of your mech eng friends end up going ? Are there a few companies who do most of the hiring ?
