Hey if anyone could answer this that would be great:
If you applied as a qualified freshman but didn’t get in because of the competition, would that help if you apply as a sophomore transfer (as in, showing interest)? Also, do high school EC’s matter alot for transfers? Because when I applied, my academics were good but my ECs weren’t impressive, which probably messed me up for a lot of schools I applied to.

@gq2016 I was in the same position as you last year. I can’t say for sure that it will help you out that you applied as a freshman, but who’s to say? And based on my conversations with the counselors, what they care about is what you do in your first year of college. GPA matters most, they stressed that to me quite a bit. That being said, definitely get involved at wherever you go to school next year. Try and take on leadership roles if you can, form solid relationships with your professors so you can get a great letter of recommendation, and stay in contact with the counselors so they know you’re really interested. (That’s what I did, at least)

Any transferring sophomores looking for roommates? Perhaps we can message to determine compatibility? The OC apartments match, but don’t seem to guarantee being matched with a transferring student.

Does anyone know if a Facebook group will be created? That would be incredibly helpful for finding roommates. I think we hear about housing around the 15th.
I think someone just has to make a Facebook group, and I agree that if someone did that would be great… I checked and I haven’t seen any transfer groups made for the past few years.
I talked to a transfer student that just graduated and she said she found her roommate from a Facebook group they had. I’m not really sure how else transfers can find a roommate for off campus.
Makes sense, I just hadn’t seen any. Maybe I’m missing it somehow.
It’s definitely a few years old if it still exists. I’m guessing one needs to be made if we are going to have one, but I do not know how one would go about that.
I guess someone would just have to make it and hope people see it to join haha
