Thank you. Did you find it hard to make friends or get involved? What do you think the chances are this coming year of getting on campus housing for the spring semester? I’m wondering if there will be a study abroad program which may open up some spots in the dorms.
@screenname44 and @irish2022 as you both transferred to ND are you happy you did? Would you do it again if you could not get on campus housing? How hard did you find the classes when you arrived and did you have to take a lot of extra classes in order to graduate on time? Sorry for all the questions! Any info would be greatly appreciated. And lastly - how did you find a roommate for off campus housing? Thank you!! I would PM but for some reason it’s not letting me.
Thank you for posting all the questions I was curious about too! My son was just accepted as a transfer. We are waiting to hear back from financial aide before we make a final decision. I’m very concerned about the housing situation. Does living off campus as a transfer have a negative impact on fitting in and making friends?
Living off campus def was annoying at times, but it was also a huge perk at other times. I don’t think it necessarily hinders your from making friends at ND. Transferring is hard at any institution, so there will be a variety of obstacles. ND does make an effort to make transferring as seamless as possible. I found roommate through off-campus website on ND. All my credits transferred easily.

@TBH2020 my son was also accepted as a transfer. Send me an email to dwn10@optonline.net. I tried to PM you but I think we now need to have a certain number of posts to be able to use the PM function. Let me know on these boards once you send it.
@screenname44 thank you for all your help.
@Ei10 I sent you an email!
I know some people probably have questions about ND and the transfer process. I am happy to answer questions and be as helpful as possible. If you are unable to PM me, just @ symbol me, and I will reply to you or start a PM if you have questions. Congrats on being accepted everyone!
Retweet ^ especially once housing comes out in July
@irish2022 I have a question about the diversity at ND. Being a minority myself, I usually tend to fit in better with other minorities. How’s the Asian Indian community there?
@screenname44 Hi I am an admitted transfer student. I have a question about credit transfer: did your transfer credits fulfill graduation requirements or these credits transferred as departmental credits?

@screenname44 Were your courses taken at your previous university fulfill some of the graduation requirements in your major in Notre Dame? (e.g. the course transferred as an equivalency of a major course in Notre Dame) Thank you!

Most did. It’s hard to say thought because it’s very major and department specific. Sorry I can’t be more help.
Hi everyone-- I’m an ND transfer that graduated in 2019. Feel free to reach out with questions!
Hi Confused Frosh,
If you get this message, we are interested in our two kids transferring to ND. The only problem is that they both took calc 2 and physics 1 at a community college. They took the rest of their courses at ASU. Do you think that could prevent them from being accepted if they both have 4.0’s? What did you do to be accepted as a transfer? I would appreciate any input. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Catherine
