Notre Dame Leadership Seminar 2017

I agree with Matt. Why would it be due on the 29th rather than the 30th for pacific time zone? They’re only 3 hours behind, not a day @leafartaffy2

@russianolive @matt465789 To be honest, I am not 100% sure either. However, personally, I would submit on the 29th just to be safe.

What counts as a precollege program? I’ve been to summer camps like Duke TIP before but didn’t earn college credit.

Today’s the last day! Anyone applying to other programs?

I completed and submitted my application, but my school report and transcript still have the “awaiting” status. Is anyone else having this problem?

Submitted earlier today. Does anyone wanna compare essays? Give some feedback?

Sure! Do you want to PM me?

@asharon18 Don’t worry. Some of the materials have not yet arrived to Notre Dame. The pre-college admissions team stated that this happens all the time, and it won’t really hinder your application.

Wow it amazes me how competitive these programs are. My stats are not nearly as impressive as most of you

Which seminar did you guys put as your first choice?

Science, Ethics, and Responsibility

@leafartaffy2 Thanks for the reassurance! For everyone’s future reference, I emailed admissions and they said that the school report just needs be in by the end of the week.

I applied to the Global Issues Seminar- We will see the results in a few weeks

Science, Ethics, and Responsibility! Anyone wanna post their stats? Are a lot of you guys URM?

I applied to American Arts, Pop Culture, and Social Change! I have high stats, but I’m not URM–female Asian-American–so we’ll see how it plays out

@xlhx33 Do you have a lot of art background? I love art history.

@russianolive I do too! Although most of my experience is with music

Hey guys! Just want to pop in here to check out the NDLS babies. I’m an alum in the program last year. If you have any questions feel free to hmu

Since many of you are asking for each others’ stats, i will list mine here to hopefully settle some post-application qualms. Cheers!

Global Issues

ACT: 36 (single sitting)
GPA: 3.9/4.0
ranked 5% at the time i applied
TOEFL: 110

**I’m an international applicant, which may have given me an edge since NDLS does not have a strong international presence and the university has been trying to raise its reputation abroad in recent years. There were four international NDLSers in total last summer.

@Duke2021ftw Heyyyyyy! I’m also a fellow 2016 alum poking my head in here!
I got into my first choice program: Science, Ethics, and Responsibility.

Let me know if any of you guys would like to know my stats at the time I applied. Nothing about my scores were impressive, but I am pretty sure my short essays and letter of recommendation distinguished me.

Also, don’t stress too much about the process. My advice would be to prepare for the greatest two weeks of your lives! I miss every minute of the time I spent on campus and all of the people I met!

@ScienceGal1023 hi! That was the one I applied to as my first choice! What topics did you cover and what was the average day like?
