Notre Dame v. Georgetown

Could people please give me their insights on this choice of colleges? I'd appreciate any comments very much.

What do you want to do? If you’re interested in foreign service, IR, or living in DC, pick Georgetown. If you like business, big time college football, the Midwest, and a vibrant Catholic community, go for ND.

I’d also say that the alumni network for ND is extremely strong.
if you’re from the midwest and are looking for the prestige factor, ND is the holy grail.

I selected Notre Dame over Georgetown for the following personal reasons:

I am Irish. I am Catholic. I speak French. I am from the Midwest.
I love football. I love food. Notre Dame makes a lot of sense

Unless you are REALLY set on politics/foreign service, Notre Dame’s a better place to spend your undergraduate years. It’s a more relaxed, laid back environment. The people are more down-to-earth. The campus is a thousand times better, and the undergraduate community is so much tighter.

Does Georgetown even have a campus, lol? Gtown is great for the political connections, but if you want a broad based liberal arts education strong in all facets, its a no brainer.
