<p>Notre Dame football is overrated that is all there is to it.</p>
<p>Clearly a well-reasoned statement considering that you are comparing us to teams like Texas and Ohio State who did look good but played less than stellar opponents whereas we played Georgia Tech from a major conference who was a bowl team last year!</p>
<p>If you are going to make a statement like that, true or not, you have to bring facts to back it up. I actually AGREE with you, I think we are a bit overrated, but you have to say why.</p>
<p>Notre Dame is not overrated. Brady Quinn had a shaky first half because of the pressure being put on him by the d line. However near the end he found himself andconverted a key 1st down to ensure victory. Also the defense played magnificently they contained calvin johnson as much as you can contain the best wr in the nation and held a severely underrated g-tech team to ten points. Also w/ darius walker and jeff samardizja I think we have a chance at the national championship. Irish I definitely agree that you cannot compare this game to any others because while UT and OSU were playing cupcake teams Notre Dame was playing a very good g-tech squad.

<p>Two other things that are overlooked...</p>

<li>Kicking- if we had a decent kicker we would have won by 10.<br></li>
<li>Drops- we had a lot of dropped passes, GTech didn't.</li>

<p>Ok, penalties were pretty bad. Holding on McKnight was bs. The make up call after the helmet to helmet was bs. Facemasks weren't called.</p>
<p>And still, GT fans thought they were getting screwed enough to throw stuff on the field. At least it didn't turn into 1978.</p>
<p>Tenulta did a great job. He almost won the game for the Jackets. He is an offensive coordinators nightmare. He threw schemes at Brady that threw him off for an entire half. However, this would only work for one half because all of the blitzing tired the GT defense because the offense couldn't stay on the field longer than 2 series at a time. Once they got tired, DW ran all over em.</p>
<p>IMO, Ryan should play next week. Kicking has to get better.</p>
<p>Mitchell Thomas was bad. Toryan Smith should play more. TT is just plain awesome.</p>
<p>Price has a huge leg, 69 yards, amazing.</p>
<p>Walls played as well as he could, but got dominated as he should have being lined up against Calvin. Once we double teamed him, his numbers dropped off. Duke is faster. Laid out Calvin, that was awesome.</p>
<p>Sam Young did very good against an aggressive defense in his first game.</p>
<p>We won the game because the GT coaches were dumb enough to set up that field goal instead of pass for a first down on the third down. I guess it's easy to say now. But, even if we did go into overtime, pretty sure we wouldve won.</p>
<p>We needed a close game. Penn St next week. Morellis first away game. Get ready for blitz after blitz.</p>

<p>Yeah, Pete Carroll is a jerk. Mitch Mustain will be starting for us next game vs. Utah State, and the 3 seasons after that. He gets an easy matchup to get ready for SEC play. Robert Johnson (the losing QB vs. USC) has converted to a WR.</p>
