Since it’s the midwest, you get the whole range.

It can get very cold. I think the absolute extreme I’ve encountered was -15 degrees (without windchill taken into consideration). That’s another thing… it gets WINDY. Most people can deal with the temperatures, but the wind chill is the worst. On the other hand, it can also get very hot and humid (probably 95+ on a bad day), but that only seems to last for the first three weeks of the year or so.

I know that’s not very helpful just to have the extreme values. I would try to approximate for the other months, but the weather changes drastically. I will say this, though: into October, you can expect to be wearing some form of a jacket or sweatshirt. And you probably won’t stop wearing one until the end of March or beginning of April.

And no matter how cold it gets outside, you will hardly ever have a canceled class due to weather. The heating system on campus is insane. Same with the snow plowing system. During the winter it’s not uncommon the see snow plows out at 4 am clearing paths for the coming day.

After a while, the weather just becomes a fact of life. Everyone just toughs it out and rolls with the punches.
