p.s. I'm a legacy
So do I have a shot at ND?

youre a legacy, so you have a good shot. you might want to raise your SAT a little still though. I got waitlisted with a 3.9 and 2180, but im a white/nonlegacy

thanks Ill work on the SAT
btw when would you consider applying to ND in my situation

Wait a minute. You got waitlisted with a 3.9 and a 2180 SAT, but Smithlazers gets in with significantly lesser stats just because he's a legacy?

That doesn't seem fair.

Shoe66:

Smithlazers is a legacy and a URM, so basically a double bonus.

Also Smithlazers, although that 1950 is a decent score, if you want an excellent shot in getting in I suggest raising that to around a 2150. You should have an excellent chance then.

Okay, so what is up with you copying my information? I posted this info last night, and you just copied all of it word for word:

"Medical Careers Program @ local Univ. Hospital Summer 06
ACT: 29 (30 Superscored)
PSAT: 199
Active in Youth Group"

At least you changed "Published Author" to 'Accomplished Poet'!

I posted all of this on this thread:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=214898

I copied your format and it just happens that we scored the same Psat and ACT I am active in a youth group and I am an accomplished poet. Also if you read above you will see I'm very active at M D Anderson Cancer Hospital. Your not the only one that has accomplished these things I guess I was just too lazy to put them in my own words since it was a)late and b) I was tired.... sorry for miscommunication.

That's okay, it was just really weird to see someone put it all in the same wording. Well, since we're pretty similar in scores/activities, where are you thinking about applying to?

you should probably apply regular, but im not sure if ND is like other schools that encourage legacies to apply early.

ND cares the most about legacies of any school, so yes my stats were not good enough for a non legacy, but his might be for a legacy

MrMatt07
Notre Dame is definitely my first choice
University of Texas
University of TAMU
and Rice even though theres no chance in hell Ill get in

anyone else want to comment

bump__________-

uno mas_______________

anyone else wish to chime in

I think that if you're a legacy/URM you have a good shot of getting in. But I don't know about EA/RD. If it's your first choice then I'd say apply EA.

yeah but they say the admissions are more conservative during EA
and my grades arent the greatest

any input. . .

come on cc!

Flip a coin. Heads is EA tails is RD. Thats how I decided for ND and it worked out.

lol I think theres a better way than that
