For the Seperate But Equal question the answer was affirmative action

it was not subsidized lunches because that goes along with segregation. The white schools received subsidies while the black schools didnt

Are you sure it was Ireland and Germany?

I thought they were asking about the SECOND wave of immigrants from southern europe. So I put Italy and Hungary.
hmm i think its ireland and germany. even though hungarian immigrants increased, they didnt surpass irish, i dont think.
For the religion one i put irish and english
its definitely german.

Result of the Vietnam war was that it made people question US international involvement.

The Andrew Jackson one I put Peggy Eaton, because she's a women and that would have gone against Jackson's image of the common man.

omg...i got some very easy questions wrong...

For "all means necessary" I put Malcolm X.
dang, i thouht Malcom X was a friendly guy/civil disobedience/nonviolent protest or something, cause I remember my freshmen history teacher talked about him during the same unit as Gandhi...bleh I'm so stupid. thats 12 wrong answers so far. and we're not even done discussing.

Glueeater I'm pretty sure you're right about the Peggy Eaton affair, it involved he and madison i think? making fun of their wives about sex. something that had to do with that and so i thought that was definitely not a good example of "a common man" lol

Guys how is the raw score calculated
Is it (# Correct) - (# Incorrect/4) = x
???

oh, and there was one about "what is common sense about"

and what did hamilton and jefferson disagree about.

and something about "what did the westerners do because of their problems" i put made a political party.

and yeah, you do the raw score the same way as you do the normal sat raw score.

are you serious? affirmitive action i thought was like the epitome of relevance to that qusetion about races...i put subsidized lunches because I thuoght lunches had nothing to do with race issues...so black schools didn't receive sbsidies? wow that's lame. as was this stupid test.

hamilton and jefferson disagreed about the BUS National Bank and Thomas Paine's common sense is about how "common sense" it is to rebel against Britain

No it wasnt Peggy Eaton. He was defending her, which made him seem appealing to the common man.

THe right answer was details about his lifestyle. Although he presented an image of the common man, he lived on a large plantation with many slaves.

Cliffhanger: Affirmative Action has nothing to with segregation or separate but equal, however.

yeah i put lunches without even thinking about it.

but now that i think about it, AA was Nixon. way after brown vs. board.

2000th post yeahhh.

andrea, commonsense was about the independence of the american people. Thomas Paine wrote it i think arguing that it was improper and nonsense for a puny far away island (britain) to rule a much larger territory located thousands of miles away.

and yeah kidchicago you're right..im so stupid. i need to think more during tests.

the peggy question and the fact that he defended the woman is sooo stupid and shouldnt have been a test question...why do they like testing extraneous parts of history that aren't significant AT ALL. they're more humorous if anything..

What did you guys put for the Legacy of New Deal Question?

that was really tricky.

I left 6 blank. I probably got 5 or so wrong.

yes thats what i put. and i put the bank too.

legacy of new deal. hmm. i sort of remember this. but what were some choices. i think i put "the federal government helped people economically" or something. because ever since FDR, the government has become more liberal. social security, unemployment insurance, medicare/medicaid etc etc.

What was the one about the New Deal and ecological programs?

I put Public Works Administration but it probably was the CCC.

Cliffhanger: Affirmative Action has nothing to with segregation or separate but equal, however."

-kid Chicago, affirmative action has least to do with seperate but unequal which makes it the answer it asked for "LEAST relevant"

and the New Deal was CCC because the CCC planted trees and opened up national parks and stuff like that

i left 6 blank...and looks like i got like 15 wrong...i'm not even in the 700s now.....great....well actually i might be but probably not over 730 like i wanted.

is this the curve for EVERY US History SAT II? Do you think there's any chance that it could be lower for this one...I thought I had done well but now that I see all the "right" answers I didn't do well at all...did you guys think this test was harder (if you took it for the 2nd time)? This was my second time taking it and the first time (June) i got 600...didn't do any studying though. so i can't say if this was easier than June.

i also put ccc for that one.

well i took one in May and it was harder than the one in May...this one had many extraneous questions -_-
