November 2008 SAT Subject Test: Biology

There was one bar graph (I'm pretty sure it wasn't A) that didn't match the data. I think the problem was that it didn't include the control in any bars except the first. The first two bars were the same height when, with controls or without, the second bar should have been higher.

how many could I have gotten wrong to still get a 700+?

Topaz4, I saw the same thing. I was confused as to whether the question was asking which graph falsely represented the data, or what KIND of graph would be invalid for data.

I think it was E for the wrong bar? Nitrogen was the same as sulfur.

POLL!! did you guys think it was hard or ez?

What was the answer to the "total interrelationships of an organism"

it was ecological niche...

Regarding the hay/minerals/pond water experiment...
Was the experiment testing photosynthesis?
Was the nutrient source hay?

I thought it was soil nutrients..
And.. I put testing biomass although that's probably wrong. I'm quite sure it wasn't photosynthesis.. idk.

Anyone sure about their answer to the nutrient most inhibiting to plant growth? I narrowed it down to potassium and carbon, since those were the only elements among the answer choices not used in the two experiments which increased plant growth. I guessed potassium because plants are made of carbon. (I'm probably way off)

iSaid, Isn't a KIND of graph which falsely represents data also a kind of graph invalid for the data?

I guessed potassium as well. but i think i mis-interpreted the question...

topaz4, that was my reasoning. These tests are really confusing as to what they are asking!

Questions were about those light spectrum. Snake follows . Plants dont absorb . Insects use ___ to predict the place were pollon falls. Highest that human can see.

a) UV light
b) violet
c) green
d) infrad
e) microwaves

I put d, c, e, b

Hi, I wonder how you guys can answer this kind of questions. It doesn't seem to be covered by any test prep book. How can you study for that?

scores tomorrow....
so nervous

I can't wait to see my <600
What do you think the curve will be like?

740...
i dunno how to feel about that score

Well I did much worse, granted I did take the test essentially blind. 700.

A miraculous 780 in math2 though LOL.

Even for self-studying a 670 isn't really good, right?

Does anyone know the percentages that correspond to the scores for the Nov Bio test?
