November 2008 SAT Subject Test: Physics

Anyone else doing some last minute cramming?

Discuss the test here. =)

International here.. It was fine! No worries...

yes it was fine.can we discuss questions??

Sure we can. It isn't a crime until we're caught, right? PM Me :D
Lol, I'm kidding. Don't PM me :P

On a more useful note, it was a fine exam. Make sure you keep time.

Like, keep quarterly checkpoints, and if you're not meeting your quota, know that you have to go faster in the next section.

I did both Maths L2 and Physics and found physics to be a lot harder.

^ me tooo! i sucked

^ LOL... I thought Physics was MUCH easier.... =( I hope I didn't screw up or anything...

Thought physics was much more difficult than the October test. Hopefully that will translate into the curve, since I think I did better. If the two combine, I might get a decent score.

I feel the need to vomit.

Hope a generous curve !

did u put total internal reflection for the bent cable question or was it polarization? polarization occurs when light reflects off a smooth glass surface.

I put total internal reflection. It made more sense. :]

I thought the test was just as bad/easy as the practice ones I did. Tho mind you I only got 770s on the practice ones. :'(

The electroscope one stumped me, because the phrasing was incredibly unclear.

I also went with TIR.

And yea, the electroscope one was strange.

defineteky tir
in the electroscope i put that we cant know for the one,and that they would move vertically for the other one.do u agree??

i put tir. the electroscope was divering def. for the first one
for the second tho, the wording was kinda crappy. i put remains unchanged (so non-diverging). but could be collapsed too? which is what i meant (so the leaves would not be charged).
did you guys put remain same, diverge or converge (collapse)?

and a few other ones.for the one in which there was a metal with a square hole in it i put that it will alwyas decrease if the metal is heated.what do u think?

and what about the mirror and the man one??i put IandII for the first one and that he will see a bigger part of himself in the second one..i am unsure for both of them.what do u think??

i am one hundred percent sure that the hole will decrease ( i had a prob like that b4)
i also put I and II and bigger part...

I'm pretty sure the hole always increases. My teacher explained it in class.

Metal: I put decrease if not in the center. I had basically no idea though. There was a problem similar to it on the SN once, but the hole was in the center. And it didn't change. So I just carried the logic over.

Mirror: I+II for first, more of self for the second, yup.
