no it was D
can we have consensus for possibility vs. familiarity for the identity short passage

it was E…

^^ OMGMIT can u compile math questions u got so far :D; i too possibly have 2 ommit

I put A for the flimsy house question - I am sure that it was correct

@timmycho0408

I chosed “building markets on public places”
I was quite sure and the time but many ppl are saying that its wrong…

I thought that the passage’s main point is that the old buildings were good in that they had “meanings” or “histories” engraved on the buildings… And that contemporary buildings are bad in that they lack such things…
AND the question went sth lyk “which statement, if true, will best undermine the statement in Lines x-y?” (the lines were describing the benefits of the older buildings)
So the statement that disclaims the supposed benefits of older buildings shud be something lyk “making buildings that lack “meanings” or “histories””, which may be markets.

At least this was how I thought…

yes to flimsy unsafe houses! :D

I think it will be quite lenient…
Nov. Dec. SATs usually have lenient curves…

-10= 680
-15= 630
probably

possibility vs familiarity plz what is it

@jhk0429 same for me i chose that too with your reasoning

the CR curve would be lenient i guess, and hope. the passages were pretty bad.

anyone remember the folktale questions?

frog: unsightly appearances
catalog: what were the options?

any others?

frog was lowly appearance
and i think the catalogue is wide variety of experiences…

trouble is i rmb deciding between options A and B for the catalog question, but I can’t remember which one I picked in the end.

anyone rmb what option A was?

hey hugedilemma
what did you put for the answer
possibility or familiarity??? why do you think cultural vacuum is wrong?

possibility vs familiarity: again extremely close (urgh cb really did us in this time). If I rmb correctly, the question was asking about what Author 2 would think of the vacuum or lack of centre that Author 1 was talking about or something like that. It should be possibility then since a lack of identity would make space for one to assume more identities. I don’t think it says anywhere that Author 2 is ‘familiar’ with an identity vacuum (or lack of identity). You know, I can’t even remember which I picked LOL

and what was the cultural vacuum question again?

Post your Predictions Here!
I’ll start:
CR: -11 or -12 (620)
Math: -1 (780)
Writing: -2 or -3, 8 or 9 essay (700)
Total: 2100

i hated that one. i thought short passages were meant to be easy, but no, CB decided to throw us really ambiguous answers

i chose possibility, because he said that he was defined, yet not limited by his definitions…but it was really close :S

cultural vacuum question asked what the ‘village’ was to the author - i chose cultural vacuum because it seemed to be the more specific one out of cultural vacuum and stable environment…but now i’m not too sure if it’s right, since ‘vacuum’ suggests theres no culture at all…urgh.

I think I chose stable environment. Discussing makes one depressed, I’m serious. lol

CR: -12 or -15 (620??)
Math: -3 (700?)
Writing 10 essay and -4 (710?)

CR: -3/4 (770)
Math: -2 (760)
Writing: -3 Essay 10-12 (720-760)

Total: 2250-2290
