****November 2013 SAT Thread***

I’m pretty sure the Disney one was experimental. I got an extra Writing section if I remember correctly, and I didn’t get a CR about Disney. I think I had omnivores, green chemistry, the girl’s birthday, and star wars.

What were some of the harder vocab words that you saw?

the real writing section was the food coloring one

@pocketsizedasian

the Star Wars part was part of the Disney passage.

Did anyone get 7998 for the one that you go 8996, my method seemed correct

@cherym I had both those writing sections. I asked around and I think the father cutting wood one was exp.

Do we have different experimental sections? I had the obscure form and I’ve found more than one experimental section for test takers with this form…

Had the obscure form and my experimental was a 25minute 20 question math section

Disney=/= blockbusters. I had 3 CR including blockbusters, green chem, birthday/parade girl, and omnivores

@xxwadexx213

Ohh, I didn’t catch that, sorry. In that case, I don’t think the Disney/Star Wars one is experimental since it was the only double long passage section I had.

@jkjkjkjkjk12
Blockbuster and Disney/Star Wars refer to the same passage

Does anyone know the answer to the vocab q with the tug of war between duty and blank and how she had an internal blank? I narrowed it down to resistance/conflict and rebellion/tension

Does anybody know which writing was experimental? I’m hoping it’s the one that’s not about the Dad.

@jp123456

I said rebellion/tension because I thought duty and rebellion contrasted each other

@labella

Which was the writing about dad? I got one about neolithic people and another on food coloring

@pocketsizedasian

I don’t think so… aren’t blockbuster/star-wars the same but Disney different? Cause Disney is supposed to be the exp reading section

@jp123456

I put rebellion/tension

@vivivz

I think they’re all referring to the same dual long passage about blockbuster films, both passages talked about Star Wars and the first passage mentioned Snow White (I’m assuming that’s the “Disney”)

did anyone here have the other test where the passages were about life on Mars, swimming, and the double passage was about popular and folk music?

@pocketsizedasian - I can’t remember the first one but I know the second one was about a dad wanting to do things the hard way. I messed on the other one, ugh.

@hoojoo

I had that one…did we have a drastically different form of the test from everyone else?!

@hoojoo I had that one!
