If you took the SAT 2 French with Listening today how do you think it went?
Do you remember the answers to a few questions? I am just really nervous cause I am not sure how I did even though I practiced a lot...

I thought it was fair. I studied the day before for about 3 hours, and took only 1 practice test. I’m not enrolled in French this year at all.

The grammar was easier than the listening, IMHO – but only slightly.

The listening was more difficult than the practice I did, but more the pictures than anything else. Probably because I was still half asleep. I suck at French grammar, so it was all hard for me, lol.

^Same here, except I didn’t take any practice tests.

What do yall think the curve will be?

I think it may be a little steeper than the one in the blue book (since the blue book sample test was more difficult, in my opinion) – so 77-86: 800, 76 - 790, etc. Still, a pretty generous curve.

I am curious as to why it’s so good compared to German, which is 85-83: 800. Does that mean that generally people do better?

It was pretty good. Listening had some things that I had trouble understanding, but all in all it went well. The kid next to me’s CD player broke. I felt really bad, and that was a bit distracting. :[

I took my test in Madrid. Did you guys have the same test as me?
There was a grammar question that went something like ‘Il m’avait dit qu’il [C: arriverait]/[D: arrivera] le 15 decembre.’
I think it was arriverait, but I’m not sure. Can anyone confirm what the right answer was?

I think we had the same test, I remember that question too, but I got something in the pass

I remember it - I put arriverait, because it made the most sense to me in context - (“He had said that he would arrive on the 15th of December.”)

What do you think is a good score? My score is good, 750, but is that good enough for Ivies if I apply as a French major? If you want to you can post your score as well?
