Hello everyone. I signed up for sat subject tests (math 2, physics) for october. I want to sign up for the november reasoning test. Does georgetown accept nov sat for ea applicants.

Thank You

i have also registered for sat 1 for Nov and will it have any affect in my application process

They don’t take the november sat for ea. They won’t even take the oct 22 act. Stupid me I already signed up

At the latest college fair I attended (when GU is with Harvard, Stanford, UPenn, Duke) the GU rep said that sometimes November SAT scores gets there in time for EA, but often not. She said that GU can’t guarantee that those scores will be considered for EA.

What about the October 1 SAT date? Is that cutting it too close to the EA deadline?

October is perfectly fine. I just took it yesterday and I went on collegeboard to make sure that my scores will send to GU as soon as they come out.

@sarahshinn: Are you sure that they don’t take the October 22 ACT?

I’m a 100% positive I also went to the exploring college options information meeting. I asked the Georgetown rep like 3 times if the October 22 act scores go in and she said no. I like died cause my sat score was from april and i took classes and I was going to take the Oct ACT, but she said they don’t get them and even if they did it wouldn’t affect the decision process cause it’s too late already:(

that’s really strange… especially if you manage to get your ACT scores 3 weeks after the test date. that means that they would receive the score in mid-november which should be enough time.

oh well ):

“We can only guarantee that we will give consideration to work completed before senior year of high school. We will consider any senior year testing if we receive it in time to review along with the file.”

That’s from Georgetown’s website. It seems that it’ll probably be too late, but there’s the chance it might get there before they start reviewing your file.

Keep in mind Georgetown only defers EA. So even if your new scores don’t make it there on time for EA, it’s not completely a lost cause. Any improvements can still help you in the RD round and may in fact give the adcomm a reason to look at your file more carefully.

i am in trouble then i did not know that GU does not take Nov sat i have already submitted my application forms to my guidance counselor. please help me
what shall i do know.

nope… sorry i asked a college rep and they said they don’t guarantee it :(
