<p>I have a couple of questions regarding Stony Brook and how things work that I can't find answers to anywhere. </p>

<p>1) How do I sign up for Black Board, Lotus Notes, AirNET, etc. I'm familiar with CUNY's system (in which as soon as you're accepted you make accounts for Black Board and all). When should I be creating accounts for all of these things?</p>

<p>2) How do I find a list of the courses being offered in the Spring of 2010 (my first semester)? I'm aware that Stony Brook added a planner feature to SOLAR, but when I looked at the demo video for it I noticed that the SOLAR page in the demo had many more tabs than what I see on my SOLAR page (the last tab I have going down is New Students). So, the second question to this part is, when will I get all that stuff on my SOLAR page?</p>

<p>3) Regarding school policies-- where/when will I get the Student Handbook and book that's essentially a list of all the classes SBU offers? Before I start classes, or during the SBU 101 course I'll be taking? </p>

<p>4) Regarding my "Supplemental Application"-- my SOLAR page says that the application is "In Progress" but I don't remember even starting the Supplemental Application when I applied. Should I ignore it? </p>

<p>Sorry to be a pain, but I figured it would be best to throw this on the forums so that if, in the future, anyone has the same questions, they can just jump here for answers (or to add to the thread).

<li><p>You’ll automatically be on Blackboard, student email, AirNet, etc. through your NetID, so you don’t need to worry about setting up separate accounts–your NetID username and password will work for all of those, and you can find out your username and set your password on SOLAR.
