I applied for an nrotc scholarship...my recruiter said that I had the best scores he had seen so far (1450 M+V SAT 3.9 UW gpa with maximum AP and honors classes) and I have several leadership positions (captain of varsity swim team, president of latin honor society, etc). I have also taken several classes at the university of connecticut and I plan to major in russian. My essays and recommendations were good, and my interviewer said that I did very well and that he'd write me an excellent letter. He made it sound like I would have no trouble getting a scholarship, but I'm worried because I basically submitted my application the last day they were accepting them. Will this hurt me? What are my chances of receiving the scholarship?

Those are awesome accomplishments! I don’t think it will hurt you too much to have turned it in when you did (although it helps to turn it in earlier). As for the acceptance I have the exact same test score a 4.0 GPA and similar leadership positions and I have not heard back yet either. Let me know if you get it man!

Thanks…good luck to you! Hopefully we’ll be hearing soon.
