NSLI-Y Help?

<p>Hello! I am applying for the NSLI-Y Summer Chinese Program, and I was wondering, for those who have gone already, what you think my chances of being accepted are.</p>

<p>I have a 3.3 GPA
I am a Chinese Club Officer
I am taking my third year of Chinese
I run Varsity Track/XC
I had a paid job over the summer</p>

<p>I heard that they look for passion/maturity. Are there any other key features that I could try to include in my essays?
Would anyone be willing to read my essays and give feedback? I am very nervous to submit a sub-par application, and any help would be appreciated.</p>

<p>NSLI-Y doesn’t care much about GPA and ECs…Language-related ECs are a plus, but the essays are the most important part of the app…GPA and ECs are just icing on the cake</p>
