Have any summer alternates been moved up?
There is an alternate that was moved up in our Moscow group but I think it really just depends on the space available in each language. @calii17
My son received his email for Russian year! He is going to Moldova; is there just one location for Russian year?

According to Facebook, it seems that there is only one Russian Academic Year group.
I think it has been like that for previous years as well.
What are my chances of being moved up from an alternate to a finalist for Russian year? Was anyone accepted who isn’t going?
@skiedeisch By looking through last year’s forum I think the order of year notifs went as: Hindi > Russian > Chinese > Turkish > Arabic > Korean. I could be wrong because I don’t quite remember if Turkish went before or after Arabic. I do know for sure that Hindi and Russian were the first notifs to be released and Korean was the last. The last of notifs were sent about April 14~15 last year. Anyone can correct me on this! Just going based off little bits of info from past forums and some Facebook groups.

Do notifications for each language always come out in one day? My daughter is semi-finalist for Russian year, hasn’t heard anything. 
So, is it safe to assume she wasn’t selected? She was soooo hoping to be a finalist. But as a h.s. senior, if it’s a done deal, then it would be great to get some closure so she can move on to picking a college.
To Korean summer alternates- Don’t give up hope, I know at least one person who rejected their finalist notification for Korean summer this year due to getting into to CBYX. That means a spot is open. So don’t give up hope just yet.
@lotsapaths Usually the notifications come out on the same day. It would be very rare for a person to be notified of being a finalist after the first day. So she probably did not make it this year. But don’t lose hope! There is a program called CLS which is like Nsli-y but for college students. She should look into it for the future~ ^^
@Diannek There is Facebook group for Russian Applicants your son can join! It’s called “Russia NSLI-Y Applicants”. Congrats!

I heard Chinese year comes out and then it’s Turkish/Arabic/Korean all in the same day but idk if that’s true
one girl told me she thought Chinese would be tomorrow and the next set would be Wednesday or Friday or NEXT Tuesday and ahhhh I just wanna know cause college
I checked and the very latest I’ve seen them sending stuff out is April 20th (for rejections)
Last year they had everything out by the 14th or 15th!! inshallah!!!
