<p>I took my APs just to look good on the apps anyways, so it doesn't really matter :). I probably would have taken the classes in college anyways just to have an easy semester.</p>
<p>According to page 10 of the Medill handbook ( <a href="http://www.medill.northwestern.edu/medill/about/finalhandbook0506.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.medill.northwestern.edu/medill/about/finalhandbook0506.pdf</a> ), "Students who have earned AP credit may apply them to meet distribution requirements where appropriate." It goes on to say that the AP credit cannot be used to fulfill journalism courses, the social science or six-unit elective concentrations - the majority of the tests are accepted and a score of 5 gives one or two units of credit. Be sure to check out that link for Medill-specific information.</p>
<p>xxalexi - be careful there. that's this schoolyear's handbook - their policy, like Weinberg's, may be changing in 06-07.</p>
