<p>How do Northwestern HPME students apply for the Feinberg MSTP (MD/PhD)? Do they need to take the MCAT? Are there any special considerations because they're HPME or are they treated the same as all other applicants?</p>
<p>I met one Northwestern combined student on the interview trail for MST programs this year. He had to take the MCAT and apply with the other external applicants: he did not receive special treatment. However, I’m sure his preference for Northwestern/Chicago and experience in the HPME made him a highly competitive applicant. Unfortunately for Northwestern, they will likely lose him to a more highly ranked school!</p>
