<p>Just curious, for those of us who are flying, how many suitcases of stuff are you guys bringing with you to college?</p>
<p>3 for myself + a backpack + an instrument</p>
<p>note: all my clothes, comfortors, towels, etc. are vaccum packed so otherwise, it would probably be 4 suitcases.</p>
<p>I'd go with two and a carry on, then ship the rest of your stuff about a week before you leave that way it will be there when you arrive. Then after your first year pay the $50ish for a storage space over the summer for everything you don't need to bring home.</p>

<p>i packed nine, but thats not as much as it sounds. airlines charge you a large amount if you pack overweight or overdimension, so i both packed underweight by quite a bit so that i wouldnt risk having to pay 50$ per bag.</p>
<p>I packed two large suitcases, one with bedding and towels and a blanket and two pillows (not vacuum packed). The second has clothes, shoes, and toiletries. My family is coming down 5 days after me (on the real move in day) and bringing the rest of my things... mostly just summer clothes I couldn't fit, winter coats and sweaters, and my dance clothes and shoes (which will take up their own suitcase!)</p>
