Did anyone apply early action to nursing and get in? I was accepted i want to know who else was too!

Right here!

me tooooo!!!

meee! (: Sooo excited

are you guys going to go? sometimes i have an irrational fear that northeastern won’t be fun…please get rid of this fear/tell me i’m being ridiculous

You’re being so ridiculous if I could I would smack you square in the face to bring you back to reality…

JK, but really, do an overnight with a friend there if you have one attending. That’s what will tell you if it’s the school for you or not.

I want to attend, but we have to see the results from my other schools, which are all inferior to Northeastern.

that slap to the face is actually exactly what i need…i’m waiting to hear from umass umiami and got accepted to uvm…but northeastern/coop just wins every time!! im just afraid i won’t have that typical college experience but in reality i know i will

From what I have heard, if you really want to party, it isn’t too difficult to find. Northeastern isn’t a huge party school, but that lifestyle is definitely there.

What were you stats by anychance?
i applied for nursing but got deferred.

Don’t worry about not having fun and not having the “typical” college experience. You will definitely be able to have fun and a good social life, we’re college kids too! We do normal college kids things… co-op changes what we do 9am-5pm, sure, but once you’re out of work in the afternoon, you’re back to being a normal college kid.

We hang out in dorms with friends, we go to parties, we play frisbee in the quad (well, when it’s warm…), we sleep until ridiculous hours on weekends and then drag ourselves to the dining hall for some hung-over breakfasts, we spend finals in the library drinking mass quantities of caffeine. I’m a senior, and yeah, the experience is different than going to a big state school and party school like umass, but I’ve definitely done the “college thing”… but co-op is great because it keeps you from getting bored (which DOES happen to people living in the same small town, doing the exact same thing, for 8 semesters).

As far as parties, you will find them. I usually go out both friday and saturday and usually have several options for what to do… there’s no shortage of house parties (although it’s easier to find parties as an upperclassman when you know people with apartments. As a freshman it sometimes takes a while to sort of tap into the party scene) A lot of students also go out on thursday.

There are also a bunch of posts about social life in the NEU FAQs Answered thread.
