nursing program

how competitive is the nursing program at uci?
i'm planning to switch my bio major to nursing in my soph year.
is there a limit to how many applicants they accept?

oh is it also possible to apply for ucla's nursing program ( or any other schools with a nursing program like csulb, csuf, etc ) and transfer from a uc?

thanks

i know that many many nursing programs are very competitive. the program graduates about 40 (36 this past year) students. that includes all freshmen applicants, change of majors, and transfers. (for admission info, [UCI Nursing](http://www.cohs.uci.edu/nursing/admission_info.shtml))

of course, you can transfer to any other school/nursing program that. i believe biola and CSU long beach also have nursing program. you would apply just like any other transfer student (so check each program individual).

it will likely be very competitive from a grade standpoint. I figure there will be lots of essays and a few interviews.

I would definitely try to talk with a nursing counselor as soon as possible. I believe the program is quite restrictive in the amount of majors so they could give you a heads up on if it would even be possible to switch and how to do it. Good luck!

wow i was thinking the same stuff about UCI’s nursing program  except for the transfer part
