NUS IB standard?

I currently live in Germany and am doing the IB.

I was thinking of going to the UK initially and currently hold a BSc Economics offer at Warwick, but considering the international fee that I would have to pay for three years, I decided to look elsewhere in the world. As I was initially thinking of the UK, I do not have any SAT scores (+ US is even more expensive than the UK :o). In fact, school grades is everything I got.

I have:
HL: Maths (7), Physics(7), Chemistry(7), German B(7),
SL: English A Lang&Lit(6), History(6~7)
Bonus: (2~3)
This will give me at least 42 and maximum 44.

Would I have a decent shot at NUS, for FASS Econ major?

I looked into some other threads and people seem to discourage applying to NUS due to its "death of learning". Coming from S.Korea, I can imagine how it would be, but at the same time it never hurts to apply so at the moment I would like to just look at my chances.

I am genuinely interested in Economics (never learned in school as it's not a course that is offered, but I learned it myself and wrote my EE on it.), and I currently am interested in Investment Banking (esp. M&A) after I graduate. Singapore is one of the largest financial hub and this is also one factor to consider, as I would have more networking opportunities there. If someone could comment on this as well, it would be highly appreciated.

EDIT: I forgot to mention ECs. I heard that it's quite important for Singapore?

(I think the above could be used as a side note in my personal statement - wait, do I write a personal statement for NUS at all?)

As per what my school’s academic director has reckoned, is that NUS has an eligibility criteria mostly based on the academic performance by individuals. An IB score (YES! your, board scores, not the predicted grades) of 41 or 42 shall amount to a competitive application. However, you must have fine ECs (which you seem to have). A personal statement of 2000 characters or less is also necessary.

BBs do not recruit at NUS/NTU. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d go elsewhere. But you’re competitive for NUS.
