wait so they wont do even an online semester for indian students in the fall? thats pretty weird
Does it mean first semester will be online for Indian students who get selected
I’m copy-pasting the mail they sent me:
Dear Siddhant Keshav
Thank you for your email.
We look forward to receiving your results once they have been released. Hence, please do upload your actual results which are certified and released to you by your Standard 12 Board.
For all programmes (except Medicine and Art, Design & Media), admission will be primarily based on Standard 12 results. We look at all subjects in Standard 12 except the 2nd language subjects like Hindi, Sanskrit, Spanish, etc. and technical subjects such as Home Science, Art, Fashion Design, Physical Education, etc. English is compulsory and will be considered in the tabulation.
Please do remember to upload your actual results within 3 days after the date of release at the Check Status page at https://wis.ntu.edu.sg/pls/webexe/adm_fore_appl.login so that your application could be processed accordingly.
Your application outcome will be pushed back until we have received your actual India Standard 12 results (and not predicted Standard 12 results).
We do not give conditional offers of admission.
Due to the late release of the Standard 12 results, there is a high possibility that students with India Standard 12 qualification (who are offered admission) will be offered admission to NTU only from Semester 2 of the Academic Year 2020 (in January 2021).
More information on admission will be provided to students offered admission to NTU.
It is also advisable that you keep more alternate university options as the situation now is rather uncertain due to COVID-19 and admission to NTU is highly competitive as well.
Do take care and Stay Healthy!
Thank you and Best Regards
Thanks a lot
I mailed them and they said they would consider evaluated results after all.
cbse students who have applied to NTU, what are your %s?
When did they say that?..When did you send the email?
wait that just means wasting the entire fall for nothing, thats unfair. does NUS also have the same idea to follow for us indian students?
I emailed them yesterday regarding how our admission would be accommodated since classes start on August 10 for those who already received an offer. I got this as a reply:
"With reference to your email, we are currently processing the applications of students with India Standard 12 qualifications.
You will be informed of the application outcome from mid-August onwards to end-August.
More information on the admission and enrolment procedures will be provided to students offered admission to NTU."
Some of us might have to wait till end of August
so they didnt even specify if there wil be online classes or not?
they seem to be very reluctant to give any information before they make an offer
you guys holding offers from anywhere else or is NTU your only hope rn?
I’m giving the Manipal entrance test on 9th. And plus there’s the BITSAT and other state exams too
Bro what was Ur board percentage?
91.5%.
Practically have no chance of getting an offer in computer science. My only hope is Data science and AI as it is a new course so the cutoff may be low
Got same reply too
I’ve accepted a spot at University of Toronto, wby?
How quick do they reply to an email?
I’ve accepted offers at Manchester and UCL for computer engineering.
Congrats on UofT btw, isn’t that better than NTU tho?
How quick do they reply to an email?
