I have very weak GPA and somewhat weak ECs
should i even apply w/ these stats?
do you recommend any other great colleges w/ this stats that i can get into?

Every time I look at one of these it makes me feel really bad...but your record is a lot like mine, so...

I visited Northwestern this summer and grabbed a page full of acceptance stats from the Class of 2008. Based on SAT I results ALONE, you'd have a 31% chance of getting in...are you applying Early or Regular?

I'm assuming you go to one of the top schools (like me), so your GPA will be lower than usual, but I think colleges compensate you a bit for that. Those honors and APs should compensate for that GPA, I think.

I'm not an admissions director, but I think you have a good shot.

You may not be in the top tier of people applying, but if you really like NU, it's definitely worth applying, especially if you display plenty of interest in the school and shine in your personal statements.

I agree with the posters above. If you're truly interested in Northwestern, apply, because you'll never know if you don't. You've got nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

I'm still learning about Northwestern and what it takes to get into it. But I do know this: if you don't apply, there is 100% chance you won't get in.

yea I was gonna take the Korean SAT II since I moved here around same time you did...my parents said I should, but I took the Spanish SAT II instead...

all I can say is that you definitely do have a chance...your senior grades will help you as well.
