~SAT 2- US HIST (800), BIO (760), KOREAN (800)

~APs- US HIST(5), WORLD HIST(5), BIO(5), CHEM(5)

~Tennis 2 yrs

~Eagle scout

~church orchestra 5 yrs

~Volunteer at Aquarium of Pacific 250+ hrs

~various missions trips

Yeah, your stats are God awful. Why are you considering college?

i would say you have a great chance as long as you write strong essays in addition to applying early decision. but what do i know.

haha another Korean who took the SAT II in Korean? >.< (I'm opening myself up here to getting slammed if you aren't in fact Korean, but I'm willing to bet you are)

on a more serious note, your stats look good, but your ECs don't really pop out ... if you can write a great essay and get some good recs, and possibly show strong interest in the school (interview, etc.) then you have a shot.

You obviously have really good numbers, but your activities are relatively weak (nothing unique). If you really want Northwestern, then I would strong recommend you to apply early - I think this is your best shot. Your SAT's and AP's are very impressive.

I agree with dontcareforthis. Have you considered community college?

haha i love it

any suggestions on what ECs will look enticing, lilybbloom?

lol, i think taking SAT II Languages are the cheapest way to score well, but oh well.....

I find it fitting that notsomuch has begun not one but TWO chances threads, and now he is here criticizing another for doing the same thing as he. And if these chances threads are really bothering you all this much, simply don't look at them. No one is forcing you to click anything. So just don't worry about it if you dont have any encouraging words or constructive criticism to offer.

all i can say is that i believe admissions people look for things that you're passionate about, things you've stuck with for a while and have made achievements in ... for example, playing a sport for a long time and then winning x place in a regional or national tournament ... it's nice that you've played tennis for 2 years, but if it's just been a recreational activity (as opposed to playing competitively) then I don't think it will help you out as much on your application.

i really don't know, just try to focus on things you've dedicated a lot of time to, maybe your mission trips?

lilybbloom, i was just wondering whether a job would hold considerable weight in my college application as i have achieved a lot in it by becoming manager and devoting a considerable amount of time to it. Also, do you think major accomplishments prior to high school such as winning two state championships for baseball would have any sort of impact?? Thanks a lot, and i appreciate your help.

work experience definitely looks good on an application ... as for middle school baseball championships, i really don't know but i would definitely put it on your application.

ok, thanks a lot for the help.

Your grades look very impressive, but nothing really pops out. What do you like to do in college and you could have done more EC'S.

I think the fact that you're an Eagle Scout shows quite a bit of dedication and effort.

yeah eagle scout is, i believe, a good ec that will set you apart. your ec's don't look that generic to me, not everyone can serve as head lawyer for the innocence project before the age of 18
