[NYC] - Transfer Chances / Recommendations

I currently attend a community college in NYC. I wasn’t the brightest student during high school, left with a not so great gpa 2.4). Took some time off before returning to college. The transition was a bit weird and I had medical issues, so my first year was a bit rough as well (3.0). However I can probably graduate with a 3.49/3.5. I’m currently majoring in Computer Science and I plan to stick with the major. I will not be submitting my SAT/ACT scores if they’re unnecessary.

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on 4 year colleges outside of CUNYs?
What would be my chances for NYU Tandon and Columbia GS (as I am a nontraditional student).
Could I retake the SAT to better my chances?

3.49 College GPA - Comp Sci Major

Varsity Sports Starting Position back in High School
Currently a barista

To add a bit more information:
I’m doing quite well in my major classes, math / comp sci. Mainly A’s and A-'s

  • Also doing extra work in hope of receiving recommendation letters from these professors.
The topic of how I’m paying for tuition is still sensitive, so lets assume I’ll take out loans and all recommendations are welcome.
I prefer schools only within NYC, however I’m still open to schools outside of NYC: SUNY’s, Northeastern, BostonU, etc.
