Has anyone attended NYIT for Architecture. My son was accepted there with a nice scholarship but do not know how the Architecture program is there. Also, if anyone has attended there has anyone dormed there? Thanks.

My daughter is in her 3rd years there. It is a very very hard and time consuming program. She doesn’t sleep much. But she is doing great. She has like a 3.50 gpa. She just got invited to the 5 year program. NYIT doesn’t have dorms. First year she stay in the SUNY old westbury campus. (She hated it, old and very dirty and other reasons) She has had to have a car the whole time at NYIT. All her time is spent in ED HALL, which is located away from the other buildings on campus. She likes that. She likes 95% of the professors. Hope some of this info is helpful.

leapobp -thank you so much for the response. From what I understand all of the architecture programs are very hard and time consuming. Sounds like your daughter is doing great. We live about 15 minutes from NYIT so if my son decides to go he will probably commute (Although if the dorms were nicer I would love for him to live out of the house) We are awaiting some responses from other schools too but that is one of his choices.
