^that seems diff than all of ours since it has the “2014”. LUCKY -_-

Yeah mine just recently changed from “no info found” to “award access not available”… Without the 2014. I dunno, maybe they did all change

^i think that is the new prevalent theory xD

Scott Abbott just made every single one of us look so stupid with this blog post today… but it makes me some what less anxious. There is nothing we can do now, but admission decision emails will be sent on Friday March 29th for sure! (According to his blog)

I meant Shawn…* haha my bad

That made me feel a whole lot better.

I feel like he may have changed it to award access not available this time around to “debunk” the theory he hinted at in his blog post though. Ah well, we’ll see.

I get this message when trying to access anything on Albert now. Probably means I was rejected.

The pledge should be limited to yesterday as it appears that NYU caught on to the story line today and made an attempt to rectify (though perhaps not fully if 2014 is still a clue).

That NYU is clearly perturbed is apparent from the language in the blog post:

"(College Confidential is truly the worst – and arguably the least reliable – so beware!), no NYU admission decisions will be posted anywhere on any NYU website. Admission decisions will only be sent via email at a time to be determined on March 29 and not before that. Each year, those of us on the admission committee are thoroughly entertained by posts we read online from students (and oddly enough, parents) who believe they have located evidence of their admission decision somewhere online. They are wasting oh so much time that could be better spent. Admission decisions simply are not available anywhere on our website. Period."

And yet, the correlation is 100% and it took them /months/ to figure out their slip-up and correct it.

@pashypashy I think your right. NYU admissions probably caught on of us analyzing the no financial aid information and the 2014 award access not available. They think that if they change the no financial aid info to award access not available so that they can throw us all off. But those who were accepted has it in a chart (like this d.pr/i/Uigt) while everyone else has award access not available in plain text. So they are just messing with us and making us wait for an official decision on March 29.

2014 - Award acces not available

Mid-February or so, I forget the actual date.

30 ACT, 3.8 GPA. Not a ton of extracurriculars, but I have a lot of musical achievements and activities that I’ve been involved in since elementary school. Decent course load, and very strong in English and Social Studies. I’m in a research program at my school where we do college level, independent work on a topic of our choice, so I think Gallatin might like that. I think my supplements were pretty strong, as well as my recs. I am also Latina.

I’m interested in seeing whether or not this theory holds true for RD applicants. Since as everyone’s Financial Aid info changed after that blog post by Shawn Abbott, it seems like they’re trying to fix a hole in their system.

Crossing my fingers, we’ll know soon enough!

I just got rejected, with award access not available. Maybe that’s the theory.

Did you get it with the 2014 or not? We all got award access not available

Sorry to hear @LoveUmich. What was the exact message, and around when did it change?

For everyone’s reference, this is what it should have looked like to possibly indicate acceptance (thanks @J03421):

@Burnd, I had that and I was rejected a few hours ago

There’s no telling now then. Since the theory is proven to be wrong after all. Fingers crossed, guys! We’ll find out soon :)

whens it coming outttt

Sorry to hear @triplenick.

Looks like he has disproved the theory. He had the 2014 message since mid-Feb. We’ll see how it goes for everyone else soon enough.
