NYU Acceptance/Rejection Email and Letter

no problem, I wish they did tell us on the portal, but I guess email notification is more reliable. Thanks for all the advice  There’s only 1 week until they tell us but it seems like forever!

lorrainedelis, I feel for you and others here. This is so close and yet so far away at the same time.

I hope it is all good news for you. :)

for EDII, i received my email at around 1:30 PST (4:30 EST), so they do send them a little before 5 EST. and even though your official decision isn’t posted on Albert, if you are accepted, a little ‘admissions offer’ button appears under the application status page, so if you don’t receive an email right away or even the first day, you could try seeing if that button came up

Good point, swimdude, That was what I started to think after reading comments about “new” buttons some just started noticing on the NYU portal. Hey, for anxious people, having both options is good. :)

thank you so much evolving, I hope it’s good news too! swimdude, I’m glad there may be clues on Albert too! (you were right evolving, we can check the portal to find out!) haha yes, I’m very anxious, so having two things to check will help :)

I read on CC that a lot of people have found out if they were accepted/rejected from CAS after being offered the LSP… I still haven’t heard anything from NYU yet! Are they releasing decisions in phases? So basically for me its either accept or reject since I didn’t get into the LSP. I so so hope its not a reject :frowning: Just got rejected from one of my top schools today ! Does anyone know why some decisions are out and others aren’t?

same here collegegirl…we’ll find out after 5pm on april 1st if it’s a yes or no. if you haven’t heard by monday (the 4th) you can call their office and they’ll tell you. good luck! (lsp offers are out earlier b/c they find out through march. and scholarship offers come earlier too. the rest find out next week.)

thanks lorraine! good luck to you too. I guess the wait ends next friday. :(

My NYU portal says that they are “considering me for two distinct programs” What could this mean? (I applied to Steinhardt)

@CollegeGirl101: That mean that you have applied to 2 distinct program: You have NYU college in NYC and you have Steinhardt.

I applied to NYU in NYC and to NYU Abu Dhabi and it is two distinct program that you applied to. That is too say that you could be accepted in NYU in NYC or in NYU Steinhardt or both :D

Good luck

thanks ArtemisF! or it could also mean two rejections :stuck_out_tongue: Naahh. lets hope for the best! :D

Yeah let’s hope for the best :)

Good luck and keep us informed :)

I got accepted into the LSP program  and now I have to wait until next Friday for the CAS (I guess unless being accepted into LSP means a reject from CAS but I did read also that people that didn’t or did get into LSP also heard whether they got into CAS also, but I’m not sure).

Edit: Oh wait maybe it does mean a reject from CAS…“we are unable to offer you direct admission to the College of Arts and Science.” Aw. I’ll be optimistic though at least I’m in LSP.

OMG DECISIONS ARE OUT! Accepted!!! :D

Accepted! :d :d: D:d: D::dd:d: :d
