NYU chances for admission?

<p>please help
I'm a nervous wreck here
TISCH seems impossible but it'd be a dream come true
i film and edit on my own, haven't entered any contests or programs due to:
almost complete lack of opportunities for film experience and almost complete lack of parental support until recently, but NYU is the reach school, and I really hope I have a chance
is it too late? any advice?</p>

<p>GPA soph and junior year weighted: 4.0
SAT: 2140 but planning on submitting ACT and/or SAT 2 tests (which I haven't taken yet)
I took AP US History and AP Art this year, haven't gotten the scores back yet.
Don't know if senior year has much influence but I'm taking 4 AP classes in the fall (to show I'm challenging myself?)
Extracurriculars/school-involvement:
school newspaper web manager
school's art and literary magazine editor
school's tv show post-production director
OM team member, placed first in states and eighth in world finals
i'm confident i can send in a good portfolio supplement essay responses, and rec letters</p>

<p>Hahaha the degree to which you’re freaking out is pretty amusing considering your resume. It’s very likely that you’ll get in given a solid supplement for tisch, as the rest of your stuff is great - SAT & GPA are above average.</p>

<p>Your extracurriculars are also very impressive.</p>

<p>Could you calculate your unweighted GPA? A=4 b=3 etc and then list AP’s?</p>

<p>my unweighted would be 3.7 and my APs next year are English, Statistics, Biology, and Psychology

<p>I can’t speak for Tisch but I got in with lower SAT scores and but a higher GPA and less intense extracurriculars. I would feel pretty confident if I were you!</p>
