i am a sophomore in high school and was wondering what would my chances be of getting into nyu stern ed. my gpa is about a 3.5. i am taking two aps and one honors next year. I swim and play water polo year round and represent my high school in both. i am also a swim coach during the summer and help out with special olympics. also, what sat range should i be shooting for?

hey I don't know exactly how Stern is versus NYU in general but I assume it's harder to get into. I would say, if it's realistic, if you could pull off a 700 x3 you would be in good shape as far as testing goes. Maybe less than that would be ok. Math will be the most important.

Also, as u know, other stuff like minority status, legacy, etc will unfortunately come into play.

But if you could get a 2100 you would be in pretty good shape for Stern, I think

NYU doesn't look at the writing section except to weigh against your essay (400 on writing and a godly essay = alarms going off), and it's pointless to study for it anyways. Just focus on math and CR. The SAT as a whole isn't all that important though. I highly suggest taking SATII Math IC or IIC or even both, and scoring well on both of them.
