@disha15 I want to respond to the email positively, but I worry that if they said that we don’t need to email them and then we do, it might annoy them.
@paintedorange same! I’m worried that it’s an automated sort of thing so if I respond they’ll just assume I don’t want to be on the list anymore.
@disha15 yea, I’m just not going to respond, I don’t want to do anything to compromise my chances of getting accepted.
My son’s guidance counselor advised him not to contact NYU and just wait. He applied to the CAS for Computer Science and he checked off other interested schools on the waitlist form. Does this mean they will only consider the schools on the waitlist form?

Has everyone’s Alberts changed to add the student tab or not?
I revived an email on April 29th that was titled “Confirmation of your intent to remain on the wait list” And it just confirmed that they got my form. Then I got an email yesterday (May 14th) titled “Confirmation of your intent to remain on the wait list” But this email was the same as this blog post (http://admissionsblog.nyu.edu/2015/05/06/an-update-about-our-wait-list-transfer-admission/) They also said if I wish to remain on the wait-list to not respond to the email. Does anyone know what these emails indicate? I am waitlisted for Tisch Film.
@film2019 they’re just general confirmation and update emails, I got them both and I think everyone else got them as well.
@paintedorange should I still be hopeful? I haven’t seen anyone on this thread wait listed for the film program that got in. It’s so nerve racking.
@film2019 I was waitlisted for film, too. I think they do it in batches. Last year, those who got into tisch film on college confidential off the waitlist didn’t hear until the 29th. Has your albert changed at all? Mine changed about two days ago.

For those of you who are concerned about the tabs not showing up, I didn’t have those tabs either but was admitted off of wait list! So don’t worry!
