How long did it take to receive the email confirmation of your place on the wait list after you submitted the RSVP form? @yankeechick02
@barcaboy7 It took about 9-10 days
Ok so something weird happened to my browser after I submitted the form…now I’m worried that the form didn’t get through or something. Can someone click on the form again (from your waitlist email) and see if you get the first page again as opposed to a message saying you’ve already successfully submitted? Thanks!
does anyone know how to assess their chances of getting off the waitlist? is it just the same as regular admissions or is there anything else they factor in? do they heavily weigh how much aid you need?
@cantopop97 it is suppose to be like that
@cantopop97 I got the first page again too and I submitted the wait list form last Friday. I haven’t received a confirmation email yet should I email them?
@cantopop97 @Backshe9 I submitted the wait list form and received a notification stating that I will not receive any additional confirmation from NYU.
is there a word limit for the responses in the wait list form?
I submitted my form 10 days ago and I’ve yet to receive a confirmation. Should I be worried about this? :-/ I know that when you submit there’s a brief message saying that there will be no confirmation from NYU, but there are some people in this thread who DID get one apparently…
During the first week of April, my son received an email confirmation for being wait listed. “In early June, we will provide you with an update on your application status regardless of whether or not we will be able to offer you admission. I can assure you that we will provide you with a final admission decision no later than August 1. We respectfully ask that you do not send us any additional materials…” etc, etc… So now it’s August 1? We thought they would let us know by July 1. More waiting LOL.
Also, most likely no financial aid will be available. Looked up cost of NYU tuition, room plus fees and it’s approximately $63,500 annually depending on the type of dorm you stay in. Multiply that by 4 years and add cost of inflation. Of course, this cost does not include summer classes, because that would be extra. Hmmm. >_<
@cantopop97 I am in the same boat as you and I am kind of worried too. Did we submit our response too late? I submitted it late because I needed more time to write a good response on my interest in the college. Did you call them to ask?
@Backshe9 did u email them after all?
@llkkbbc I don’t think it’s considered late as long as it’s before may 1st (I submitted mine on April 4th). Do you know the email address for dealing with (waitlist) applicants stuff?
@cantopop97 I don’t know, maybe we should just send an email to the admissions office to check if everything is alright? Which college did you apply to? I applied to CAS.
@llkkbbc I applied to Stern, and I just emailed them.
@cantopop97 alright, do update me if you get a reply. Thanks!
@cantopop97 urgent! I called the admissions office and apparently, my response did not get through. They’ve asked me to resubmit my answers. Do call the admissions office to confirm whether they’ve received your response.
@llkkbbc Thanks for letting me know; they actually didn’t receive it! They suggested that I use google chrome.
@cantopop97 I know right, I was scared to death when I found out they did not receive it, I used google chrome to sent it though. Better resubmit it and call to check again asap. Good luck!
must follow up! Do not assume they received!
