NYU Class of 2019 Waitlist

@iloveBCiloveBC‌ I think that would be considered unnecessary documentation. they clearly asked to just submit the RSVP form and final transcripts

Hi I was waitlisted from Steinhardt and submitted the waitlist response already. Would an email expressing interest r be considered unnecessary documentation?

@jennifwaaa I believe that would be considered unnecessary as well, if I remember the email correctly. Like anonye said, I think we just need to submit the RSVP form and final transcript.

Hey guys I was waitlisted for Stern. Can someone who filled out the RSVP form already tell me what the questions are beyond pg.2? It doesn’t let me advance on without completing pg.2 but I just wanted to get a clearer picture.

There’s nothing. When you press the arrow, you’re submitting it

Did anyone here receive confirmation for submitting the RSVP for the waitlist? Is anyone considering sending a Letter of Continued Interest to NYU? This wait is so stressful!

@kyogre504‌ I emailed them and they said it is still being processed

@kyogre504‌ They said that we won’t receive a confirmation email until May when I submitted the form. Also, under the FAQ it says letters of appeal (interest) are considered unnecessary documentation. So, I’m personally not sending anything extra even though I was going to originally because it may annoy them. But that’s just me!

wait do we send them a transcript before may 1st? i thought they get back to waitlisted applicants around may 5th-10th so how would they evaluate final reports?

My daughter was wait-listed at NYU Tisch (BFA Acting program): she is choosing among her back-ups at this time but remaining hopeful. My hat is off to all those high school students, their parents and support persons who have traveled the long road that may include information sessions, campus tours, interviews, sleep-overs, and auditions. It was much simpler to apply to college 35 years ago. Best wishes to all!

With the type of financial aid that NYU offers (and lack thereof), I can imagine that they make use of their waitlist. My son was accepted, but won’t be going to CAS. I have heard the same thing on other forums.

@Backshe9‌ can you link me to the FAQ? I can’t seem to find it.

@Backshe9 Thanks for that. I might reconsider writing a letter now, but I remember reading the waitlist thread for last year where someone wrote a LOCI and got accepted.

Btw, did anyone here apply to Poly?

My D was also wait listed for NYU Tisch -Dance

Did anybody else receive an email confirming their place on the wait list? I received one this afternoon!

Yes, my D got an email confirmation as well.

Thanks so much, good luck to your daughter!

@DDDDDDDDDDD - What other schools is your daughter considering?
