Stupid question but…does anyone think that the date/method you’re contacted for waitlist confirmation is NYU’s favorability towards you? Like, the people more likely to get off the waitlist received a phone call / email sooner than others?
No I think it depends on when you rsvpd…???
@NYChiBos I got the email on the 29th as well. The FAQ page says they start admitting in May, but will send an email to everyone on the waitlist in early June just to inform them about where they are on the waitlist if they haven’t been accepted already.
So my guess is if one doesn’t hear something next week…the odds are pretty slim moving forward.
Just got an email from someone at admissions saying that NYU has exhausted all of their financial aid and asking me if I could still afford to go.

@yankeechick02 I’m lucky in that I could still afford to but tbh I’m still not sure If I want to.

@sonyainva Cal Poly SLO for Computer Science. Definitely a very different feel from NYC but I do plan to live and work in California so I think it might make more sense.

I just received the same email. If I reply to it and am admitted, does this mean I am obligated to attend NYU?

I need to know for sure because I want to reply to this email but I would need to think about it after ACTUALLY having nyu as an option

@ballinfordays I’m not committed 100% and I replied. The person who emailed me just said thank you and that I would hear later. I think you’re safe.
