I really, really want to know what “Upperclassman” means.
My theory : You can only study "out’ after completing 1 year and when you’re 18 years old.
I’d be 18 when i’m an upperclassman.
Maybe that’s it? Are y’all also young?
Confusion
@lanouvellevague we’d never know
What is this “housing” thing? I’m an international applicant, and no matter how hard to look through my admissions portal, there is no information about housing…? Am I supposed to go FIND it somewhere?
Also, to continue on from the previous posts:
I applied to Stern (BPE)
GPA: 4.09 (out of 4.3)
SAT: 2360
@sweetcottoncandy it’s not on the portal
it’s this link: https://housing.nyu.edu/apply
@sweetcottoncandy : The “housing” theory is basically this “change” on your housing portal where your status changes from “Nonrenewable Undergraduate” to “Freshman”. This change is supposed to indicate acceptance. But people have been accepted without the change as well!
You can check it here : housing.nyu.edu/apply
@Oddenigma : Guess we’ll just have to wait for April 1st. My anxiety levels are sky high!
So what does it mean when the housing was Freshman but changed back to non-renewable undergraduate?
@Abwee67 : That’s a good sign, I guess! But one can only postulate theories right now…
I hope that its a good sign though!
Under summer does anyone else have a drop-down box with the options: NYU LONDON, NYU WASHINGTON D.C. and NYU NYC?
I do
I have the drop down box as well
I have it too. And the DC application is gone for me
@cf9882 same
Anxiety
Could we find out today?
Drop box too :s
I think these are general edits?
I really don’t think we will get decisions until April 1. The decisions are made and we just have to wait for financial aid to be decided. I wish they would release decisions without FA so people who didn’t get in can just move on…
first off what the heck is vertical housing
and second off where are people seeing these housing applications?! Is there a separate portal?!?!
@spearlight6000 vertical housing refers to the new layout of the housing portal page. it used to be a different format (horizontal) but now its vertical. it’s insignificant, just a change in layout. https://housing.nyu.edu/apply is the portal but i wouldn’t worry about the portal or even look at it
Applied to CAS with 3.77 GPA and 35 ACT (one sitting). Just got rejected from JHU so I’m pretty despondent about everything right now
because merit scholarship decisions are released, are the rest of us dependent on financial aid?
