NYU decisions already!

I applied to Stern. I did not receive anything about mid-term grades, but I am a junior transfer. Aren't you a sophomore transfer, alan? Where else did you apply? I am still waiting for a decision from Stern.

I applied to Gallatin. It's so hard not to worry.. this is the only school I applied to transfer to because it's the only place I want to go to! I don't want ot stay...HERE! argh, anyway..im bored at my current college, so if any other worried NYU transfer students, want to chat...

I am a sophomore transfer.

Wharton.. harvard.. yale.. columbia.. chicago..

Tough schools. Good luck. Where do you go?

I got kenyon--a tiny liberal arts school in Ohio--where do you guys go?

Community College

see past posts

Drew -- teeny tiny LAC in NJ. :-P

so you havent heard yet either brown eyed girl? I kind of just want to give up hope and grudgingly accept this tiny hell hole I am currently calling home.

They did not request midterm grades from me, but I heard on like the 15th. Good news for you guys: Im not going there (too much money) so theres one more spot for those who havent heard. :-)

No, I haven't heard. I am calling home everyday though to see if it came! :-)

I wonder if asking for midterm grades is a good thing or not? On one hand, if they don't want to accept you, they wouldn't bother asking, but on the other hand, if they already think you're good enough, then they won't ask for any more grades.

To those of you that have been accepted: When did it say you had to reply by? I'm thinking they may be waiting to send the next round of acceptances until they have a good idea of who from the first round is coming or not...

It might depend on the division that you are applying for at Stern

killjoy- I agree. I have to reply by May 2, which is why I said its probably a good thing that Im not going there. One more space for you guys

yea they requested my mid term reports too around end of march. Fortuantely, I got all As,, but im not sure if getting one means you have a good chance getting in or not. I did some research on old old posts and found that lof of people who were asked to submit their mid-term report ended up not getting in. I think it was like 1 in 5 or something like that. But lets all just hope for the best!

Wow, that's not so good. I was asked to report my mid-term grades, and they weren't so hot either - all B's. We'll see what happens!

maybe they didn't get in because they had weak second semester grades

Hmmm so second tier acceptees should be sent out--do you think they'll start to send those soon? I know the people who got in have to reply by May 2nd but I'm sure some reply before then. But..can anyone provide more information about this silly admissions process?

Also, I never got asked for midterm grades..though I know my application is complete. Is this bad?
