No problem! Best of luck to you as well! This program really excites me and I’m hoping the study abroad I did in high school will show I’ll be able to handle living abroad for a year. I’ve heard this program has a high drop out rate because a lot of students figure out they just wanna stay in NYC after freshman year
@talath @hopefullytisch My D applied ED I to Dramatic Writing. She is applying as an international student (which can be easily surmised from my nick) Indeed, very few fellow applicants visible in the thread. My D is dealing with her stress offline while I am venting out here.
does anyone know the ED acceptance rate for stern
did anyone apply t Liberal Core as their first choice, or is it mostly a back-up?
@scaredaflol I think it’s around 12%. Remeber seeing it on their website a while ago
I applied to Stern BPE under ED and Global Liberal Arts Core as a non-binding second choice.
@heyomgitsme thats their overall acceptance rates, but whats their ED specifically
@misingthebeach I applied to GLS directly with Gallatin as my backup. I mostly picked GLS because I wanted to study abroad my first year. Are you planning to start in NYC or abroad?
ACT: 30
GPA: 3.8
I’ve taken AP Macroeconomics, AP Gov, AP Lang, and AP Art History.
I am currently taking AP Lit, AP Spanish, and AP Psych.
I did not submit any of my AP scores.
I have a lot of unique and interesting EC’s. I’ve lived abroad so I hope that helps with the global aspect of GLS.
My common app essay was very well-written and I think my “why nyu” essay really got to the heart of why I want to go to NYU.
I didn’t read my recs but I have a good relationship with both my recommenders so I’m sure they were both pretty good.
I hope this helps! Good luck.
i don’t know if any of this is true but it’s making me emo bc my nyu housing portal doesn’t say my birthday or email lmao i wish i hadn’t seen this!!!
So does anyone have housing applications available yet?
@kahtellin I honestly don’t think it means anything. Every year there’s a handful of applicants who get no changes and they’re accepted.
@Cmichael23 I don’t think so, at least I don’t.
I don’t either yet
@misingthebeach it was my back up really.
@scaredaflol it’s pretty much the same I guess. NYU overall has a 1% difference between its ED and and overall acceptance rate so…
Not anymore. Their new packets say 28% normal 37% ED. First year they acknowledge it.
Does ED have 37% acceptance rate last year? Where can we find it?
“For the Class of 2021, our overall admit rate was roughly 28% while early decision candidates were admitted at a rate of roughly 38%”
After the next week, the following week we are going to know the result Wish all of us good luck. It really decides how my Christmas break is going to be like
Anyone see FA change yet?
