@Frances007 any tips on negotiating financial aid with NYU Shanghai? They have offered $35k but that is nowhere near where my family (living in a village in a developing country) can afford.
@misingthebeach hi! i got into CAS as a Neural Science major. my GPA isn’t reaaally a 3.5, it’s more like a 3.8 but my school’s grade scale is all wonky but i really did get a 550 on the math section of the SAT.
@gudegude did you apply to Stern?
@kahtellin I got a 570 but 720 on English. I sent my act score instead.
@bensplatt do you get big scholarship, because you have great stats for LSP?

(accepted to CAS ED) @didders28 3.75 unweighted gpa, 4.24 weighted. 32 on act. 7 ap classes combined.

I’m so late but I WAS ACCEPTED TO STEINHARDT MCC!!! Over the moon. 31 ACT and 3.8 UW GPA for anyone wondering. Congrats to those accepted, and if you were rejected I have confidence that you will thrive at any other university! Don’t be too discouraged. @goldfishy19 @talath yes I was accepted too!! My FA is okay, not amazing, but I think that maybe the NCP waivers did have a correlation with acceptance! Congrats to you both

City angle:
- tell them you like Shanghai as *** (some great reasons, if you need my help, I can come up with some for you),
- however, you have heard that living cost in Shanghai is high, which leads to some financial concern to your family.
Personal angle: - share the social-economics situation of your family, such as you are the first generation to go to university? The opportunity in metropolitan SH campus is a dream for a village kid…etc. that could be touching.
- you could be a great asset to the school as you have certain talent fitting into their needs…(check their website)
