I thought the same @scoobysnacks56
@scoobysnacks56 Yeah I think what you said it correct. The rest of us should stop worrying. Everyone that I know who got into NYU ED 1 or ED 2 this year and previous years didn’t get their housing and FA changes until the day before. Besides, I don’t think they’ll outright reject you at this point(if you had a somewhat good chance in the first place) since semester grades are just coming out for a lot of people. My semester finished today and they won’t be receiving those grades until mid to end of next week.
this is STRESSFUL AF. i had a dream last night that it was 15th feb and i was checking my email and the first line was ‘we regret to inform you…’ and i just slammed my laptop shut and started crying hahahaha. i think we’re all going slightly insane rn
I’m just worried about financial aid and how I’m gonna afford this place if I get in.
Can someone explain the whole regional level acceptance please? Is it for students that live in or around NY?
@SquadGoals I just hypothesized it to make sense of such early housing changes. I’m thinking perhaps the NYU people in your region can accept you if they want? and some people get accepted at New York by the admissions people in the college.
I applied to Stern as my top choice and the College of Arts and Science as my second choice…if I don’t get into Stern but I get into CAS, is it still considered binding? Do I have to go because I applied ED2? When I applied for Shanghai and Abu Dhabi as my 2nd and 3rd campus choices, it said if I didn’t get into my top choice campus it wouldn’t be binding, but does that apply to the different schools, too?
@beltido no, it is not binding if you dont get into Stern
@scoobysnacks56 thank you!
Ahhh ok thanks! @scoobysnacks56 also does anyone know how much ED2 applicants NYU typically gets?
Hi! I had a question about the ED Agreement on the Common App. On the page with the recommenders and FERPA, where it lists your teacher recommendations and transcript info, does it say “submitted” or even “downloaded” next to the words “ED Agreement”? My transcript, teacher recommendation, and counselor recommendation all have the date it was downloaded/submitted next to it. However, there are no words next to my ED Agreement. Thank you!
@SquadGoals not sure, but considerably less than the amount of ED1 applicants
Hmm, it’s odd that housing changes came out so early this time around. I only got it a day before decisions. Oh well, at any rate, housing/FA changes come out in waves, and several people reported getting accepted without either of these changes, so don’t get discouraged if they haven’t applied to your Albert account yet!
@adreamer22 its so weird… I’ve been traversing through past ED threads and this is pretty much unheard of
@scoobysnacks56 I also got the housing “change”. However, I only first opened it a few days ago, so I don’t know what it looked like before without the freshman application. I have the freshman application and I’ve started it lol. Do you know of anyone else with the change? I don’t have the FA change though.
@alpha525 I wrote to NYU sometime ago and they were soooo angry that people started to make those applications before the admission letters are revealed. i felt like they were literally yelling at me; they were seriously angry. so oh, you guys just better not start those housing applications… despite if you have freshman change or not.
@classlena Oh dear…
@classlena I still doubt they know if you started it or not.
they do, because at the moment when you finish/start it, they get the notification that you did. somebody comfirmed that. that is why they are so angry with it probably… @alpha525
How can we check if our FA changed? Can someone link the website?
