i think both of you have great shots! @Q1234T @dehca2016

The best advice I can give you comes from the Dean of Admissions. Check it out and make your conclusions. @dehca2016 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH810nlTfXc What you should conclude from this video is that the first thing the dean does is thoroughly inspect your high school transcript or high school performance (9-12) instead of standardized tests…

I still think housing change is the greatest indicator of acceptance unless you applied to one of the international campuses. There just aren’t a lot of people who have the housing change and the albert change, which is a little weird.

@RSalvatierra i feel like NYU is a lot more holistic than what your summary is though

@booyakah i wouldn’t worry about the albert change. i don’t think it’s a big deal

It definitely is! But when people ask to be chanced, they just post numbers and scores. Although he did post some EC, that was basically it. Since this is the only information available, one has to chance based on these numbers and exclude everything else. And since this is the case, the dean’s insight on what he checks first would serve as great advice for chance me posts. @pizzaandpeonies

@RSalvatierra i feel u

My plan to do homework has gone awry. I am now watching videos of NYU on youtube.

Yeah, my GPA is definitely weak. But hopefully its good enough for CAS.

@pizzaandpeonies I know, but it’s so nerve-wracking to see people get changes that you didn’t get. :((

@booyakah have you tried clicking through the housing app and seen if anything changed?

@spikethecowboy …mine(CSS profile not submitted) is mentioned under holds in Albert mobile …sorry for the late response

@dehca2016

You seem to have a very good chance at both Stern and CAS. You’re GPA seems to be slightly above average and your SAT is only slightly below. Your rigorous coursework also shows you’re a very competitive student. As long as your essays were well written, I’d say you shouldn’t stress to much!

Waiting has become a real burden. I just want to know where I am heading. It’s been really hard to focus on my everyday tasks, specially when a friend/relative/teacher comes up to you and eagerly asks, ‘‘any news!?’’ However, I feel it’s a privilege that EDII applicants will be notified mid-february and not late march or april 1st. But yet again, if I don’t get in, the waiting game will escalate to a whole different level…

@RSalvatierra

I understand you, especially how NYU is my first choice school!! This entire waiting process is personal on so many levels that I refuse to tell friends the decision date lol

I told everyone I applied Regular decision, even my parents and family lol. When I ED Cornell, everyone knew about it and on decision day, my phone was saturated with texts and phone calls. After rejection, my phone kept being pummeled with notifications. Just don’t want to go through the same thing again.

Now, everyone thinks I won’t have any news until April. I hope no one I know reads this and if you do, (insert DJ Khaled voice) you played yourself.

Anyways, I hope that housing change does signify good news and an acceptance letter!

@stehyh hahahah except for me, EVERYONE knows it’s on 15th Feb. My friends literally have a countdown on their computer till the date, almost every classmate i pass by says ‘14 days left!!!’ to me with a knowing smile. 16th feb is gonna be either an exhilarating or absolutely humiliating day at school.

also-just curious, what did you guys write your common app essays about?
