I’m already accepted and my Albert account is how it was during the admissions process. It may have changed due to what school or campus you applied to, or just glitched out for one reason or another.
@pizzaandpeonies Completely agree with your point about not jumping to conclusions. Like I said before, the Albert change probably means absolutely nothing judging from past threads where it wasn’t even mentioned. The housing change is probably still the best hint of acceptance.
@adreamer22 Okay so let me just get this straight. You are an admitted ED I student who got the housing change to Freshman. But your albert account still looks the same as most of ours do and not like @theniqqa23’s screenshot?
@barcodeIlIl Correct. I received the housing change to Freshman in Manhattan, but my Albert page never changed, and still looks like the default that all of you other EDII applicants have.
I didn’t receive any housing change, but I did click the start application button under the housing page even though I had non-renewable still. I’m not really sure if doing that caused the albert change, but I didn’t apply to NYC as my first campus of choice. I applied to Shanghai as my first, but I’m pretty sure housing isn’t even supposed to change even if you do get admitted to SH or AD.
@adreamer22 Okay, thanks. Guess that means the Albert change isn’t too relevant then. But your housing change says “Freshman in Manhattan” instead of just “Freshman”? What school did you get admitted to?

@barcodeIlIl It only said “Freshman” in the green rectangle, but in the step where you choose what dorm you want to live in, it said Manhattan, which is a good indicator for what school you got accepted into, since if it says Brooklyn, it means they accepted you for Tandon instead of a NYU Manhattan school. I was accepted to Stern.
I’m hoping it just changed back because I had to send in something for my financial aid that they never received and when I called up there to make sure it was delivered they accessed my account and saw the change so they changed it back.
@adreamer22 Well that doesn’t apply to me I guess since I only applied to CAS first choice and LSP NYC second choice.
@RSalvatierra I applied to stern as well, and second choice CAS, got the housing change. I my gpa is so bad nearly unlookable lol but have a high sat… And my school has a 60% admission rate to NYU every year. NYU holds info sessions like three times a year at my school.
@RSalvatierra I’m so worried… Did you get the freshman under spring in New York City as well??
@curiousminds01 Same. Freshman under spring in New York City but application closed!!
@gettingintostern
Hey do you mind disclosing your stats? I also applied to Stern but didn’t get the housing change
I have freshman for fall in NYC and I applied stern first choice
I got the Albert change, which gives you an option of either ‘Students’ or ‘Applicants’, and you can view your ‘NYU Housing Payments’ to view bills and make changes etc. The ‘Applicants’ part is exactly how it looked like before, though. And I haven’t gotten a Housing Change yet, still ‘Non-Renewable Undergraduate’ for both Fall and Spring 2016. I don’t think much of it (I’m not LETTING myself think much of it), it’s probably just a glitch/may switch back anytime.
update: The Housing Payments took me to another Albert-esque pop up called ‘Welcome to the New York University Electronic Suite’ and I can access stuff like My Accounts/ eBill Statements etc.
This NYU pre-decision process on CC is like deciphering a maze slowly wth
Did you start the housing application or click the start button by any chance @trign0metry
@theniqqa23 OH FFS THATS PROBABLY IT. I didn’t start it, but i remember clicking it accidentally and quickly trying to go to the previous page. This happened to you too, right?
Yup, I think its a correlation between people who clicked it while still housing was ‘non renewable’.
